Back Splash Tile

Upgrade your kitchen by adding texture and color with beautiful tile.  Adding tile gives your walls visual eye candy, but be careful... With so many different & beautiful choices of tiles, you want to keep in mind resale value.  Backsplash tile and or tile murals too taste specific can hurt your resale vale if you ever needed to sell.  Before picking any kitchen backsplash tile do research first.  Make sure you are not hurting your house value by over improving and or making it too taste specific.

This Mosaic tile design is too much of a "beautiful" thing, although beautiful this tile design will not suit everyone.

Keep in mind the tile may look beautiful on the 12” x 12” sheets or
the 4” x 4“, 6” x 6” individual tiles. Putting together a tile design (especially with accent/focal point tiles) can make or break a kitchen design. Remember what LOOKS good to you, may not be to someone else.

When I'm creating a kitchen back splash design. I like to use beautiful tiles suited for my client, that can also be appreciated by anyone.

Give a WOW factor to your kitchen walls with an above the range accent/focal point design.

 Possibilities are endless...

Event Planning

Are you aware how important it is to hire a professional event planner?  Spending long nights and weekends hiring and managing vendors, keeping everyone/everything on schedule and juggling the logistics of your event, etc...

Lack of knowledge and experience may prove to be a task you may not be ready for.

So many people start on this road only to find out that event planning is a profession, not just a task to be handed off to an assistant.
Nor should you look at it as a " Do it yourself project".

Whether your event is corporate, social, non-profit, community based or wedding, you should hire an event planner.

Although theses events are different. All require great attention to detail, a relationship with vendors and the ability to be totally dedicated to the task at hand.

Hiring Envy Me for your wedding/event will save you money and allow you piece of mind, leaving you completely free to enjoy your wedding or event.

Any event planned by Envy Me Interiors & Event Planning will sure to be envied.

Chandeliers

When designing your home with chandeliers look beyond the dining room & foyer. With so many different sizes, shapes, styles and finishes to choose from; chandeliers can go just about anywhere you could imagine. Chandeliers do not have to match the style of your home; however, they should match or stay in the same finish, type, and texture or style family. You also want to consider the size of the room when picking your chandelier. You do not want it to overpower the space, nor do you want it to get lost in the space.

Tip: Measure the room’s length & width and add those together. Use the number for the diameter substituting inches for feet. EX: A room 12ft X 20ft, you should look for a chandelier with a diameter of at least 30inches. You can have a big bold chandelier in a small room if you choose the right one. Thin framed or all glass is striking without taking up visual space. Be mindful of the height of the chandelier. The height of the ceiling will play a great role in this area.

If the chandelier will be hung anywhere other than over a table, and the ceiling allows. The taller family members and guest that may live or visit the space will appreciate clearance space of 7ft or more.

Last, do not rely on the chandelier as your primary light source.  You should also have sconces, floor lamps, recessed light etc… in this space.
